AT5147 Access Control/License Plate Tag

The AT5147 license plate tag is a battery-powered radio frequency (RF) field disturbance device specifically used in applications with SmartPass integrated reader systems. The AT5147 is recommended when metallized windshields prevent installation of interior-mounted tags.

The AT5147 encodes the signal received from an AmtechŽ reader system with an identification number or a data message. The encoded signal is reflected (backscattered) back to the SmartPass reader.

The AT5147 can be read by AI1600 series readers.

Features

	Stores up to 10 six-bit alphanumeric characters of data (60 bits), factory programmed as specified.
	Can be programmed to emulate Wiegand access control cards using 26- to 54-bit SIA Wiegand formats.
	Energized by a small lithium battery cell that is compliant with U.S. DOT 49 CFR § 173.185(i) and ICAO (international) regulations for unrestricted shipment.
	Average useful tag life of 10 years under continuous use. Battery life is not affected by the number of times the tag is read or by RF fields from other sources.
