The SKIDATA™ Workstation is a multi-functional workstation that allows for comprehensive parking space management by means of three main applications for cashiering, control, and administration. These can be activated as needed by a simple click of the mouse.

If required, these system functions can also be accessed from the Remote Workstation.

The SKIDATA™ Control Unit was designed specifically for the parking system to allow for uninterrupted operation around the clock.

SKIDATA™ Coder

The SKIDATA™ Coder allows for smooth processing of various ticket technologies.

Coder APT 450

Salient features

• Uncomplicated processing of barcode tickets and magnetic stripe cards
• Encoding and labeling of contactless media such as the SKIDATA™ keycard for use as a contract parking permit
• Integration of credit card terminals and Electronic Purse terminals for cashless payment
• Receipts can be printed onto the ticket or issued separately

Cashiering Functions

The Pay Station functions as an attended point of sale and allows for easy payment and sales transactions.

System Control

The entire system can be conveniently controlled via the Control Centre, one of the key applications installed on a Workstation or Remote Workstation that allows for smooth control of all transactions throughout the facility.

Based on a graphical user interface, the Control Centre provides a comprehensive overview of all Parking System devices at all car parks on the system. Current system events and status messages are indicated by clear on-screen symbols and/or acoustic signals.

The main menu of the SKIDATA™ operating system provides a comprehensive range of system administration options. These include all functions required for system configuration, customer and article administration, rate management, reporting, statistics, configuration of credit card and electronic purse acceptance, authorization management, etc.

The main menu can be accessed from any Workstation or Remote Workstation.

Remote Workstation

The Remote Workstation is a decentralized SKIDATA™ system control unit that interfaces with the parking system by way of a dial-up connection, a data network, the Internet, or a VPN (Virtual Private Network). The functional equivalent of a regular Workstation, the Remote Workstation provides full access to all control, administration and cashiering functions (e.g., issuing of contract parking cards).
