Tri-Cities Airport
Pasco, Washington
The Tri-Cities Regional Airport in Pasco, Washington recently selected SKIDATA's unattended parking revenue control system to reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.
The installation replaced a "manned" system that used an internally developed license plate identification system with a state-of-the-art, wireless SKIDATA access and gate system. The migration to wireless technology has allowed the expansive facility to save significant installation costs while transitioning to an unattended system. Tri-Cities Regional Airport is the first credit card in/credit card out facility in the Northwest.
The Airport is utilizing Park Trac's LPI (license plate inventory) system which is completely integrated with the SKIDATA system. This results in more reliable functionality with easy maintenance.
Wireless technology enabled the entire installation to be completed in two weeks, versus 30 days or more typically required for hardwired systems. The installation was completed in Spring of 2005 and already the unmanned entry and exit points have enabled the Airport to realize significant cost reduction, as well as improved revenue control and reporting to help minimize fraud.
