Entry Lane #1
The SKIDATA Entry Column provides ticket issuance to transient parkers
and includes integrated SKIDATA proximity card technology for monthly
parkers and intercom. Additional access control was provided using
the student cards provided by the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
These cards are magnetic stripe technology and are simply read by
insertion into the same coding unit that delivers the transient parking
ticket. |
 |
Exit Lane #1
The SKIDATA Exit Column provides a
means of egress to a transient parker.
The transient parker simply
inserts the ticket into the coding unit throat. The coder
determines amount due, deducts any validations issued by a tenant and
then displays total amount. The transaction is then completed
using a credit card and a receipt is issued to the parker.
An integrated SKIDATA proximity
card reader and intercom are also included in this column. for monthly
parker use and customer assistance. |

Exit Lane #2 (Monthly Only)
PROTECTIONTECH designed this custom intercom housing with an internal
SKIDATA proximity card reader. |

Multiple Technology Reader & Credit Card
Payment Station
Technologies included are proximity, magnetic stripe and barcode.
This device also functions as a credit card payment device when
installed in an entry or exit lane.
In this application this unit was used as an after-hours entry reader
for a pedestrian access door to the parking garage. Not only can a
monthly parker gain access into the garage using their SKIDATA proximity
card but a transient parker can use an unpaid parking ticket as access
to the garage. This ticket is validated and removed from the
system after transaction completion. |
