Square Exit Pushbuttons

High Visibility Pushbutton

The 5215-SPB series pushbutton assemblies provide a clearly visible means of actuating electric locking release.  These easy to operate, request-to-exit controls are ideal for use in any facility with access controlled entry/exit

Standard Single-Gang Mounting

These pushbutton switches are supplied with a brushed stainless steel plate for mounting on a standard single gang 2" x 4" electrical box.  The switch contact block required on 2-1/4" depth within the mounting cavity.

Illuminated Square Actuator Button

The 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" illuminated button can be easily recognized when powered.  The lamp is rated at 28 VDC for long life.

LED Status Indicator

A red LED is available as an option, to be mounted above the square actuator button.  This can be utilized to provide indication of door lock status.

Heavy Duty Contacts

The SPDT contacts on the momentary action switch are rated for 10 amps at 125/250 VAC.  Color coded 7" leads are easily connected to field wiring.

Versatile Electronic Control

The 5236 and 5246 series pushbutton and key switch consoles are a simple, cost effective solution for door control.  Designed to be easily mounted under a desk for concealment or wall-mounted for accessibility.  A receptionist, bank or retail clerk can lock or unlock and restrict the use of electrically operated entrance control systems, alarms, electric locks and other similar equipment.  These actuation devices will limit operation to only authorized personnel; or in the case of the 5246 series, limit operation to only key carrying personnel.

Single or Multiple Door Control

Ideal for controlling single or multiple door access into buildings with electromagnetic locks or strikes.  Utilize a 5236 series push button console to control from one to three doors or a combination of a key switch and up to four pushbuttons on the 5246 series.  The key switch on the 5246 series can also be used to shunt alarms or reset delayed egress controls. 

Key Switch Contact Outputs

5246 series key switch consoles are available with a variety of contact outputs.  Key switches can be specified as SPDT or DPDT.  Key operation may be supplied as key removable in either or both positions depending on the application.

Custom Switch/LED Configurations

Multiple key switches, pushbuttons and LEDs are available to meet any required operation.  Double Pole Double Throw switches may be substituted instead of the standard single pole provided.  Maintained pushbuttons or toggle switches may also be substituted in place of the standard momentary pushbuttons.

Two Different Console Sizes

The 5236 series console is a compact size unit 2-1/2" long by 2" wide by 1" high.  This console features a snap fit cover.

The 5246 series is larger with a screw-on cover 3-3/4" long by 2-1/2" wide by 1-1/2" .

Versatile Electronic Key Control

The 5240 series key switch devices can restrict the use of electrically operated entrance control systems, alarms, electric locks and other similar equipment.  Economically designed for wall mounting, these actuation devices will limit operation to only authorized key carrying personnel.

Ideal for after-hours access into buildings with electromagnetic locks.  Key switches can also be used to shunt alarms or reset delayed egress controls.  Other applications can include mode selection or day/night control for automatic door operators.

The 5241 series are available with a variety of contact outputs.  Key switches can be specified as SPNO, SPDT, or DPDT.  Key operation may be supplied as key removable in either or both positions depending on the application.

The switch contacts are rated for 3 amps at 125 VAC or 28 VDC.  Color coded, 7" leads are easily connected to field wiring. 

Pushbuttons come standard as SPDT momentary action; however, they may be changed to meet virtually any application.

Narrow to Wide Switch Plate Mounting

These keyswitches can be mounted on narrow mullion 1-3/4" x 4-1/2" switch plates.  Standard single gang 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" or wide double gang 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" switch plates.  Standard switch plates are brushed stainless steel for mounting on standard electrical boxes.  The keyswitch contact block requires 2" minimum depth within the mounting cavity.

Easy to See and Operate

Ideal for use in office buildings, institutions, hospitals, nursing homes, banks, etc. where codes require a readily apparent and east to use door control or electric lock release and an architecturally coordinated, aesthetically pleasing appearance is required.

Standard 5286 exit release switches feature a large, easily operated, 1-1/2" x 3" push plate.  The push plate is available in two sizes and three different back mounting plates to meet all installation requirements.  Both the push plates and the black mounting plates have smooth beveled edges on all four sides to enhance appearance.  These assemblies are joined from the back with concealed screws to resist tampering.

"N" Series Push Plates

Typically used for mounting on narrow door frames and aluminum mullions, the "N" style devices consist of the standard 1-1/2" x 3" push plate mated with a narrow 1-3/4" wide back plate for hollow metal or aluminum frame  mounting.  Furnished with slotted oval head stainless steel screws for direct mounting to frame or partition box within frame.

The "W" series push plate consists of a 1-1/2" x 3" push plate with a 3" wide back plate for standard single gang box mounting.  Furnished with standard slotted head screws.  Pin-in-hex tamper resistant mounting screws are available on special order.

Wide Push Plate Switches

The "D" series has a large 4" x 4" push plate with 4.5/8" wide back plate prepared for mounting to a double gang box.  Furnished with pre-assembled socket head mounting screws easily accessible through small holes in the push plate.

Variety of Contact Forms

Push plates switches are available with alternate action, momentary or time delayed contacts.  The adjustable delay action assemblies utilize a miniature pneumatic timer, adjustable from 2 to 60 seconds, with a compression spring under the push plate.
