    The Sentinel-Prox KP-6840 is a combination PIN pad and Switchplate style Proximity Reader specifically designed for high security applications that require dual verification.  The revolutionary design of this reader allows you to upgrade the standard SP-6820 reader by simply plugging in the Keypad module and changing covers.

    The Sentinel-Prox KP-6840 proximity reader from AWID offers dual functionality and a superior read range of 6" to 8".  It is designed to mount on a standard-single-gang electric wall box or on the surface of an interior or exterior wall.  the entire unit is UL294 listed as an indoor/outdoor access control device.  The KP comes in dark gray or beige and is sure to blend in with the architectural design of any building.

    The KP-6840 PIN pad/proximity reader outputs industry standard Wiegand (26 to 56 bit) and the keypad output is programmable to match the requirements of a majority of the access control systems.  The KP-6840 also outputs a simultaneous RS232 signal, which duplicates the Wiegand output from the proximity cards/tags for integration with other time and attendance (T&A) or debit systems.  It is manufactured in an ISO 9000 certified facility providing for the highest quality standards.  The KP-6840 is highly reliable, warranted for life and capable of outputting Wiegand data in multiple configurations.
